We made it!

Waiting . . . . . .

Ok, Gene and I are sitting here in the airport waiting . . . . and . . . . .waiting . . . . .and waiting. Our plane was supposed to depart for Florida at 6:40 pm, well it's now after 9 o'clock and they say it will probably be 11:30 pm or later until we go. It seems it is raining so hard in Florida that it is having a hard time leaving Florida to come to Sioux Falls. Neither one of us really knows how to sit and do nothing- too bad huh!? We'll probably be a little tired tomorrow, we got up at 3 am to deliver puppies to the airport this morning. Oh well, we'll sleep tomorrow I guess. Mom Hoog

Springtime News

Houston continues to do very well! He is a pretty easy baby, although Dana would say that 11 pm- 1 am can be a bit challenging some nights. The little stinker doesn't get into a deep sleep early enough. Dana started preceptoring at Whispering Heights so she has a very busy schedule again. This is how she spends her study time . . . . .


Snuggle time with Grandpa-

He weighed almost 10 lbs last week. At the Dr. today he was at the 75th percentile for height and weight. It would be amazing if we could keep him at the 75th!

Tyler babysitting his newborn : ) He had the "Baby" for 48 hrs for his child development class. It was a bit interesting, a few whiplashes and fussy times. Tyler's not real excited that Trevor thought this was a picture moment.

We're planning a trip to Florida next week. We are looking forward to seeing Ava!

Houston Ready for Church

Got a couple pictures of Houston all dressed and ready for church. He does really well in church- just snoozes away.

He's getting really wise! He follows with his eyes and really is starting to look around. He's awake more now and still an amazingly good baby!

Brent Returns to Deployment and . . . . .Life Goes On

Brent left Tuesday morning from the airport in Sioux Falls. It was a very sad good-bye but we hope the next 5 months go quickly for him and us. On the other hand Houston is so cute and cuddley we wish he would just stay this newborn stage for awhile. Dana is doing OK. She's still rather sore, tired and a little stressed. She started college again this week on Monday, next week is spring break- that will be very nice. Maybe she can get a nap or two.
