We spent an awful long time waiting in the airport to leave . . . . . only 9-10 hours. I'm telling you the airport in Sioux Falls lacks in scenery, entertainment and food past the security check point. Our flight to Orlando and an Allegiant flight to Phoenix where both delayed so there were about 500 men, women and children holed up in that little hallway for the evening. Finally at about 10:30 Gene decided he'd had about enough waiting and checked out the refreshments : )

With nothing else to do, I past the time playing with my new camera.
Here are a few pictures of the people waiting and sleeping.

We landed in Orlando at 5:30 am, picked up our car and headed for a Holiday Inn Express for some shut-eye. Dad got a little sleep with help from his meds and I listened to a back-hoe( or something??) dig up a parking lot next door. We explored a bit or Orlando in the afternoon.

I'm not sure what kind of tree this is, but it's pretty unique looking. I wonder if the hanging stuff turns green is the summer?

There were lots of flowers, grass and GREEN!

We walked beside a lake in Orlando, I was tired from lack of sleep, it was an awesome afternoon.

Dad spotted this alligator lazing around. He was about 7-8 feet long. Later in the evening we saw him head out across the lake.

We went for a walk in an old historic district and all the fire hydrants were painted this way. I guess they didn't want them blending in with the landscape.

When we get away with just the 2 of us we love to walk or hike and enjoy nature. Trees and water are our favorites. We also look for crazy little places to eat and relax. We found this fun little place on the warf in Orlando. We went there 3 times, once to enjoy the sun setting.

Thursday afternoon we checked out Greg's house. He is doing some renovations to the inside. It is a nice house in an awesome area. Very close to the beaches in Tampa!
Coming next- our favorite place to relax in Florida- ST. PETES BEACH
